Foundations lesson -Jan. 8, 2023

Thanks for serving in Foundations this week! Your class will meet in the loft.

Please make every effort to be in your class (or have at least one adult in your class) BEFORE children are dismissed to Gospel Kids during the offering. (If you wait until kids are dismissed, you’ll be stuck behind the line of kids checking in.) It is very important to have an adult in each room directing kids to the right places as they arrive. 

About these Files

  • The REVISED OUTLINE will provide a schedule for how to use the provided curriculum in your class. It has been customized to fit our church setting. Please take note of things that you may want to prepare ahead of time or write on the whiteboard before your students arrive.

  • The INSTRUCTOR GUIDE contains all the information you will need to conduct the lesson, and should be used according to the instructions on the REVISED OUTLINE.

  • The STUDENT ACTIVITY PAGE is for use in class. Copies will be provided for all of your students.

  • The UNIT SLIDES is an optional tool for presenting the lesson to the class visually. (This slide deck contains information for all lessons in this unit.)

  • Additionally, the UNIT 3 OVERVIEW provides a framework for what you’re teaching in this unit.

All printable materials are in your leader's notebook. There will be a classroom copy in your supply box.

The OVERVIEW VIDEO on this website gives you a good introduction to the lesson. The TEACHING VIDEO is designed to be used in class if we were doing this as a video curriculum. We are not using the teaching video in class, but you are encouraged to watch it to see how the author of this curriculum models the lesson.
